The University of Oklahoma Athletic Student Life Office, with the assistance of the Kerr Sooner Career Center, offers a variety of career development opportunities for OU student-athletes. Located in the nationally renowned Prentice Gautt Academic Center, the Kerr Sooner Career Center provides a system of services that educates and guides student-athletes through the career development process int
o their post-collegiate careers. The center makes career information available through a number of print and web-based publications to assist student-athletes in making decisions about their academic majors and career paths, and to support their efforts to secure internships and employment. We also facilitate learning opportunities for our student-athletes to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today's competitive work environment. In addition, we also emphasize the importance of interviewing through mock interviews and interviewing workshops throughout the academic year. If graduate school is an option, the Career Center has an extensive collection of testing and graduate materials that will allow student-athletes to adequately prepare for the demands of post-undergraduate education.
