Today Chiefs across the fleet celebrated the birth of the Chiefs mess, our mess spoke to what it means to be a Chief by speaking to the history of the brave heroes who carried the anchor before them and reminded those in attendance what the Chief creed means. "For the past 133 years, the Chief has stood the watch, trained the fleet, and held the heritage of the greatest maritime fighting force in the world. Ours is a legacy built with blood, sweat and tears, and written in blue and gold. It continues every day we don the anchor, pushing us to grow and evolve as we solve new and ever-changing problems. We wear the anchor every day, but it is an active choice to embody what it stands for"
