The position of a part-time Apprenticeship Coordinator for Local 540 will become available on June 01, 2016.

The regular meeting of Local 540 on April 07, 2016 will be a Special Call Meeting for discussion and action on disbursement of upcoming raise of .30 cents and discussion and action on sending apprentices to the State Apprenticeship Contest. The meeting will start at 7:30 PM and will be held at the Union Hall, 7812 Warwick Boulevard, Newport News, VA.

Februarys Union Meeting will be a Special Meeting for nomination of officers for Local 540. Meeting will be on Feb. 4th at 7:30 PM. Participation is key to a healthy Local.

Today is the three year anniversary of retired member Brother John McCloud.

Asking for prayers or positive thoughts for fellow Brother Adron Phillip. He is currently in ICU at Riverside Hospital. This is due to complications with his diabetes. He is not allowed visitors at this time. I will update when he is moved to a regular room.
