The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command is hiring Deck Engineer Machinists to serve aboard naval auxiliaries and hybrid-manned warships worldwide — in peace and in war.
What the role involves:
🔧 Maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems, cargo handling equipment, cranes, winches, and UNREP machinery
🔩 Operating machine shop equipment — lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and welding systems
🚢 Supporting fire, damage control, and emergency drills onboard
Minimum requirements include U.S. citizenship, a valid USCG Merchant Mariner's Credential (MMC) endorsed as QMED Deck Engineer or Machinist, and at least 6 months of sea or engineering experience.
