The ideal candidate will lead a buying team and complete hands-on buying processes, conduct detailed research, establish consumer trends, locate ideal products, investigate prudent vendors, source products and negotiate sales.

Responsibilities:

Establishing effective department policies.
Overseeing the training of new team staff.
Directing daily department activity.
Networking and communications.
Conducting detailed research.
Identifying consumer and market trends.
Determining which products to buy.
Locating ideal vendors.
Negotiating cost effective sales contracts.
Ensuring timely delivery of products.
Resolving any discrepancies.
Proactive in adjusting work methods in accordance with market fluctuations.
Consistently tracking and researching consumer trends.
Establishing effective vendor relations.
Be on the lookout for cost effective new products and vendors.
Perform other related duties.
Requirements:

3 years of related work experience.
Proficient in product purchasing.
Management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
