In a world where the noise to signal ratio has drastically increased, the ability to make a 'connection' is what defines great recruiting. Candidates are smart.

They know you are a recruiter so they know that you want to talk to them about job opportunities.

Everybody is coming at them straight on about job opportunities, trying to be 'efficient' with a direct approach.

In my humble opinion, I would propose that you come at candidates from a different angle, from a different perspective.

Connect with candidates based on their interests, on the things that they are passionate about.
