Good Evening and I realize this is long, but I needed to address "The Struggle is Real".

The struggle for the nation is on the way to hitting a REAL fever pitch because a 2-year-old can't get his wall!!
Aside from government workers not getting paid, but being asked to show up for work, this crisis is having a domino effect!! Those of us who are receiving food stamps are going to have to be EXTREMELY diligent when shopping. The stamps that are being given out ARE FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY, NOT AN EXTRA PAYMENT FOR JANUARY!!

Here are a few suggestions to help during this crisis:

*Find a good butcher and purchase a food plan, and purchase some freezer bags, so you can make smaller packages. (Have them cut up the meats: chicken legs, chicken wings, turkey wings).
*Get canned good, stock up your cabinets. Get powdered milk, evaporated or condensed milk. The FDA is not checking much of the dairy products.

*Get that box of Bisquick for some good old "drop biscuits", pancakes and a host of other things.

*Get together with a good friend and head to Costco's, BJ's or any other large supermarket and buy in bulk and split it.

Last, but not least, thanks to all the food banks and restauranteurs, and all the other generous people who have come to help those of us who are unfairly unemployed and looking to provide for their families.

Most importantly, check on family members, especially your elders in the community. Many of them depend on the services affected by this chaos.

Ramadan Mubarak!

What I am about to say I have said before, but it seems it needs repeating.

The scammers are back in full force and preying upon those of us who are looking to find full or part-time employment or those who want to supplement their income.

The newest one I have found is claiming that Verizon is hiring, and you can receive a new phone. It looks and sounds good, but why do they need your email address and your password?? If they want to see if your email is active all they have to do is send you an email and have you reply to it!!

Yes, the struggle is real, but don't be taken in by the scammers! Make sure you read and question what they are asking you to give them. NEVER GIVE THEM PASSWORDS BANK ACCOUNT NUMBERS OR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS. These pieces of information are only given out once you have seen an overview of the company and have decided to accept employment!!

I was watching Good Morning America and there was a doctor promoting her book on cancer and the myths.

Aside from exercise, which could help all of us, she mentioned that fact that we should remove the toxins found in our home environments.

How many of you realize the damage we do when cleaning our homes? Many of us have been brought up on the fact "if you don't use bleach it's not clean", and people still tell us that today on a daily basis.The truth is, this and other products are harming our environment along with our lungs ( you know how we are constantly mixing products together to make sure it smells clean 😊)

As we get older, and especially the younger generations, it is important that we take care of ourselves along with the environment.

As salaamu alaikum. Good Afternoon 😊😊

It may not feel like it, but we have entered the Spring season and it is time for cleaning, renewal and progress !!

Cleaning🙄🙄: It is the time to get rid of the many things that are preventing us from moving forward, physically and emotionally!
Get rid of all the clothing we are no longer wearing or waiting to wear, they are just holding us back. Let go of people who are preventing us from moving forward, by their lack of support. It may not be easy, but we need to surround ourselves with positive energy, as negative vibes can prevent us from moving forwards.

Renewal:🙄🙄 Now that the retirement age has been moved up to 66, I was notified a few months ago. Make yourself a vision / goal board!! NO, we don't need to pay someone to show us how to do it, we have been doing it for years !

Go back to school, travel, finish that project you started it is still on the shelf in the closet ! Write that book and get published, learn a new skill and start your own business!! I have been in training, learning and enjoying every minute of it !!

Progress:🙄🙄 Our success may not always be one that is seen by other people. It is something that is an inward beauty, that has given us a purpose to feel successful.....something done for us, not other people !!

All of this cannot be done without trust in Allah (God) as He always has our back !!

🌎 KUDOS TO THE YOUNG ADULTS WHO ARE FIGHTING FOR A CHANGE IN GUN CONTROL !! 🌎

I sincerely hope you, along with your family and friends, are in good spirits and health. With so many things going on, shootings, storms, looking for employment sites, along with every day events, things have become chaotic. But I believe, if the Lord has brought us to a particular place, He will not abandon us and we must continue to strive in order to reach our goals !!

Like most of you, I was also seeking employment, (no, my get up and go hasn't gone yet. lol). The main problem I found was that most of the jobs were not home based and I wasn't bilingual. But then there was a light at the end of the tunnel !! Alhumdulillah.

It is unfortunate that some forget how much talent the elders and people with disabilities, are a very important part of our communities. We have a gift of knowledge, that can benefit many, if we are given the opportunity.

The job I have been blessed to find a job that enables me to work from home, while at the same time I am giving back to the community. As we are living longer more attention should be given to our environment and the need to take care of it. I have been given the opportunity to do so, and I plan on doing all I can do. In sha Allah
