An exemplary employee with years of service and two promotions was wrongfully terminated after being diagnosed with a chronic illness. Instead of receiving the reasonable accommodation he requested, he was criticised for taking time to address medical issues and started receiving negative evaluations. Finally, just one week after he began an approved medical leave, he was unlawfully terminated.
