🔎 Which Are the Best Companies for Entry-Level Jobseekers?
For the Class of 2026, landing a first job can be challenging — especially when many positions require experience that recent graduates may not have yet.
To understand where entry-level candidates may find the best opportunities, CashNetUSA analyzed job postings from some of the largest employers in the U.S., including major companies across the retail, restaurant, and big-tech sectors.
The study examined two key factors:
- Entry-level job availability: The percentage of a company's job postings specifically advertised as entry-level roles
- Job competition: The average number of applicants per listing, based on positions posted within the previous 14 days
The research looked at a broad group of major employers, including the 100 largest U.S. employers, 50 major restaurant and retail chains, and 13 globally recognized big-tech companies.
The findings offer a snapshot of which companies have the highest share of entry-level opportunities and where jobseekers may face the most — and least — competition.
For graduates entering the workforce in 2026, choosing where to apply can be just as important as perfecting the application itself.
