About the Position
Cabildo Staffing is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic for a commercial HVAC ductwork fabrication shop in Metairie, LA. This is a skilled position requiring the ability to independently lay out, form, assemble, and complete HVAC ductwork accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision. Must have a AWS D1.1 certification and experience with light gauge ductwork
Starting Pay: $28.15/hour

Union Requirement: Employees must join the Sheet Metal Workers Union within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities
Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication details, and ductwork specifications.
Independently lay out and form rectangular, round, and specialty ductwork and fittings.
Fabricate elbows, transitions, offsets, reducers, taps, plenums, and equipment connections.
Operate fabrication equipment safely, including brakes, shears, rolls, forming equipment, spot welders, and hand tools.
Assemble ductwork using appropriate seams, joints, reinforcements, and hardware.
Verify dimensions and completed work for accuracy and quality.
Meet production schedules and fabrication deadlines.
Minimize material waste and properly handle galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other sheet metals.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
Assist and mentor less-experienced shop personnel as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience fabricating commercial HVAC ductwork in a sheet metal fabrication shop.
Must have a AWS D1.1 certification and experience with light gauge ductwork
Ability to independently lay out, form, and assemble ductwork.
Strong knowledge of duct fittings, seams, joints, gauges, reinforcements, and fabrication methods.
Ability to read a tape measure and perform trade-related calculations accurately.
Ability to read and work from fabrication drawings and shop plans.
Experience operating standard sheet metal fabrication equipment safely.
Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive fabrication tasks.
Ability to lift, carry, and handle sheet metal, ductwork, tools, and materials commonly used in a fabrication shop.
Ability to work in a typical industrial shop environment.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Job Description:
We are actively hiring Dozer Operators for projects in the Metro New Orleans area. This position focuses on dozer operation.

We strongly prefer candidates who can operate D6 Cat and Equivalent Dozer, and those individuals will be considered for top pay (up to $26/hour). However, candidates with solid experience in dozers are still encouraged to apply.

This role offers steady work with the opportunity to transition from temporary to permanent employment.

Work Schedule:
Typically 8-hour shifts
Monday through Friday
Weekend work as needed

Key Responsibilities:
Operating dozers, rough grade (non-GPS Dozer) and finish grade (GPS Dozer)

Conducting daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance

Operating safely around crews and underground utilities

Participating in jobsite safety meetings

General Requirements:

Minimum 2+ years of operating Dozer experience

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Bilingual Customer Service Representative receives and processes inbound calls from customers in both English and Spanish, serves as the end-to-end point of contact, and resolves customer issues efficiently and professionally. This role collaborates with a team of customer service representatives to meet overall call center objectives and enhance the customer service function to exceed customer expectations.

PAY
$16.00 per hour

SCHEDULE
40 hours per week

Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Some Saturdays required

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Answers a high volume of incoming calls in both English and Spanish.

Assists existing commercial and residential customers in resolving service issues.

Provides service quotes for new customers.

Establishes customer accounts by negotiating and documenting service type, pricing, billing, and required information.

Communicates concise and accurate information to customers.

Provides customer retention support by delivering high-level customer service and offering alternatives to cancellation requests.

Averages approximately 100 inbound calls per day.

Maintains an average call answer time of fewer than 12 seconds.

Establishes a clear understanding of customer needs, issues, and requests.

Identifies opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services (lock bars, casters, gate fees, etc.).

Interacts with customers and internal employees to determine service needs, resolve complaints, and escalate complex issues when necessary.

Serves as a customer advocate by solving problems and engaging the appropriate departments.

Supports other service lines as required.

Uses the Tower system to gather, update, and maintain customer records.

Completes cross-training with other departments, including Operations, Sales, and Billing.

Strives to meet or exceed call center service and operational goals related to productivity, quality, and timeliness.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend and participate in company-sponsored training as assigned.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current technology.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
