💰 $15.98/hour
🕡 Monday–Friday | 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

What does a Mailroom Clerk do?
This position is based in the secure mailroom inside NCCF and includes sorting and processing incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining records, following facility mail procedures and completing general clerical duties.
Although the mailroom itself is a locked, secure work area, this position does involve some movement throughout the facility, including transporting mailbags to designated housing units.
This is a great fit for someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a structured correctional environment.
Important Requirements:
Because this position is located inside a correctional facility, applicants must:
✔️ Have a high school diploma or GED
✔️ Be able to pass a criminal background check
✔️ Pass a urine drug screen
✔️ Be comfortable working inside a correctional facility
✔️ Understand that cell phones are not permitted inside the facility
✔️ Have basic computer skills and be comfortable with data entry and general clerical work
No correctional experience is required. Paid training is provided!
