First night of Co****le was a BAGS-olute success and a hole-in-one! (ok, you can groan)

The teams all gathered and competed through 3 rounds of co****le. League T-Shirts were handed out and everyone enjoyed a hotdog and drink. We also gave away a $25 gift card at the end of the night!

Add in the success of Weiner Wednesday and the post was really hopping last night!

Looking forward to seeing everyone next Wednesday!

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by Weiner Wednesday at VFW Post 2498 tonight! 🌭🇺🇸

It was so nice to see familiar faces, meet new friends, and spend time together as a community.

Nights like this are what it’s all about — good food, great people, and lots of laughter and conversation! Thank you for stopping by to enjoy a hotdog and connect with our veterans!

We truly appreciate everyone who came out to support us! You helped make the evening so special.

A special thank you to Officer Kelley and Officer Rocket for taking time out of their busy schedule to join in the fun with us!

We can’t wait to do it again and hope to see everyone at the next WW on June 3rd! ❤️🤍💙

Introducing Weiner Wednesdays at VFW Post 2498!

We are inviting the community to come spend some time with us! 🇺🇸

Stop by and grab a hot dog after work or swing by before taking the kids to practice.

Come meet our veterans and enjoy a welcoming atmosphere where friends, neighbors, and families can connect and build community together.

Check out our function hall and lounge. Get in a game of pool, or simply enjoy some good conversation with great people!

Spring time is here, and it’s time for the Needham Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2498 to hold their Spring Buddy Poppy drive!

We will be at Sudbury Farms and Roche Brothers this weekend from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. Please stop by and say hello!

All funds raised from our Poppy sale support our local veterans and their families.

We’re excited to officially launch our Needham VFW Co****le League—a fun, social, and slightly competitive way to bring everyone together this summer.

League Details:
📅 Wednesdays, June 3 – July 1
⏰ 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

What’s Included:
- 4 weeks of team play
- Final week tournament with cash prize for the winners
- Official league T-shirt
- Weekly ticket for hotdog, chips & drink

Cost:
$70 for Veterans
$80 for Community Participants

Whether you’re joining for the competition or just a great time with the community, this league is designed to be easy, fun, and something to look forward to each week.

Today we are honored to celebrate a truly remarkable milestone — the 101st birthday of a World War II veteran and proud member of Post 2498.

At 101 years young, he represents courage, sacrifice, and a generation that shaped history through extraordinary service and resilience.
His dedication to his country and continued presence in our community is a living reminder of the values we hold dear.

We are deeply grateful for his service, his example, and the legacy he continues to share with all of us. Please join us in wishing Fred a very happy 101st birthday — with gratitude, respect, and admiration.
