📊 Latest Labor Market Highlights from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics:

• Unemployment rates increased over the year in 174 of 387 metro areas
• 25 metro areas reported unemployment below 3%
• National unemployment rate remained at 4.3%
• Payroll employment increased in 8 metro areas nationwide
• Many major regions saw employment remain relatively stable

🎓 Policy For Thought 💭

Workforce development should create real opportunity without unnecessary barriers. That’s why the America Works Network offers credentialing programs, vocational training, and pathways to technical education.

As highlighted in a recent article, Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs) and other technical programs are creating strong career pathways with lower student debt and high earning potential. In some cases, graduates from technical programs are earning salaries that rival — or even outperform — some traditional four-year degree paths.
