Hello Everyone!
I hope you all have had a great start to 2022! The ASCE YMG board met a couple of weeks ago and had some great discussions about hosting several social, service, and technical events in the next several months. We want to continue to grow the group, and hosting a variety of events is the best way to capture everyone's interests.
I'm excited to outline our first 3 events below and hope to see many of you all in attendance.
The first social event of the year will take place this Thursday, February 3rd at Pins Mechanical Co. located downtown in the Gulch. Join us for some after work fun playing duckpin bowling, ping pong, arcade games, and getting to know fellow young engineers in the Nashville area. We will reserve a couple lanes for bowling from 5:30 - 7:30. We'd love to see you all there.

The Titans may not be playing, but the Super Bowl is always a great time to get together with friends and have some fun! Join us on Sunday, February 13th to watch this year's Super Bowl, which if the first two rounds of the playoffs are any indicator, should be a great game. Nick has offered to host the watch party this year, and ASCE will be providing the pizza. There is plenty of space to watch the game and play some ping pong or corn hole if the weather allows. The final event that we are excited to announce this month is a team for the Nashville Zoo Run Run 5K. Join a few of your fellow civil engineers and hundreds more at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 26th on a 5K through the Nashville Zoo, followed by some post-race beverages. Apart from the normal top finishers, there is also a costume contest, so you can break out your crazy animal onesies one more time. You can register at this link.
