Our client, a modern, multi-national, protein-focused food company producing beef, pork, and chicken in the United States, is hiring a General Laborer to join their team in Shelbyville, Tennessee.

General Laborers are paid $16.00 per hour, working 1st shift, 7:30AM-5:00PM, with overtime and weekends as needed.

As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that involve the processing, packing, and packaging of our products. The General Laborer assists with hanging, packing, stacking, and other manual labor tasks. The General Laborer’s work environment is typically cold (refrigerated/freezer) and may be wet, so close-toed, slip-resistant footwear is required.

Requirements:
• Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50lbs
• Must be able to move throughout the facility 100% of the time
• Must be willing to wear required PPE: safety glasses, face shields, hair/beard net, facial coverings, and hearing protection
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures

Job Overview:
Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for
various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.

General Responsibilities:
􀁸 Prepares, seasons and cooks meats and vegetables using skill in frying, grilling and sautéing.
􀁸 Prepares, seasons and cooks starches, vegetables and other side hot food items.
􀁸 Performs food preparation work for cooking, including seasoning.
􀁸 Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe.
􀁸 Deep fries, grills and sautés meats, fish, vegetables and other foods. Observes and tests foods
being cooked by tasting, smelling and piercing.
􀁸 Portions food on serving plates.
􀁸 May add gravies, sauces and garnishes to servings.
􀁸 May select recipes per menu cycle, prepare bakery items, receive inventory, move and lift
foodstuffs and supplies and prepare meals for customers requiring special diets.

The central part of each Entry must be a pumpkin or a member of the pumpkin family.
Each Entry MUST have a Name/Title.
Pumpkins may be carved, decorated, or a combination of both. Be creative and have fun!
You must take a picture of your pumpkin and upload it to our page to be eligible.
Inappropriate pumpkins will be disqualified.
Judging will be done by the Marketing Department and the Executive Committee team members on Friday, October 30th.
Three prizes will be awarded, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
First place will receive a $75 Amazon gift card, second place will receive a $50 Amazon gift card, and third place will receive a $25 Amazon gift card.

Press Assistant – Nashville TN

The Position: We're looking for an Assistant Press Operator.
The pay is $15.50 to $16.00 per hour to start.
