As part of the LP Foundation’s Community Grant Program, the LP Newberry team awarded grants to Luce County EMS and Yooper Youth, two organizations making a meaningful difference in the community our team members call home.

“Both organizations are creating real impact locally, and we’re proud to support their efforts,” said LP Newberry HR Manager Kirstin.

Supporting our LP Swan Valley community every step of the way ❤️

LP Foundation Disaster relief program has been initiated and $20,000 USD (almost $28,000 CAD) is being wired to the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman to help with flood relief!!

The municipality will determine how the funds will be spent (they know best what their community needs), but the focus will be on immediate support to residents, including food hampers, meals, etc.

LP Swan Valley takes pride in supporting our community in whatever way we can - whether that’s sandbagging, cleaning out flooded basements, a burger and a chat, financial support for our employees through our LP Cares Program, or donations like this - because it’s our community, too!

To everyone sending money, donating items, supplying food/necessities, and working long hours to help neighbours, friends, and family - we see you.
Our community sees you.

This flood will go down in history but the way our valley has stepped up will too - and that’s something we should all be proud of.

A big moment for LP... After seven years as CFO, Alan Haughie plans to retire. Alan brought decades of experience across public accounting, manufacturing, and business services, including CFO roles at Federal-Mogul and ServiceMaster. Along the way, our favorite British mathematician made the move to the U.S. and, fortunately for us, came out of his first retirement to help lead LP’s transformation.

His impact runs deep. He helped establish the disciplined capital allocation strategy that guides us today and built a strong finance organization with leaders across the company. It’s a legacy that will last well beyond his time here.

Now, we’re excited to name Aaron Howald as our next CFO, effective September 1.

Aaron has been with LP for 15 years and knows this business inside and out, with leadership experience spanning continuous improvement, corporate finance, business development, investor relations, and FP&A. As our CEO Jason Ringblom put it, Aaron is well prepared to step into the role and help lead LP’s next chapter of growth.
