🎉 Celebrating Our Mount Pleasant Office & 27 Years of Serving the Community! 🎉
Last night, our Mount Pleasant office had the pleasure of hosting the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce’s Alive After 5 event at the Union Block!
A big thank you to Jen Schwartz, Christina Cook, and Aleigha Christner for hosting such a wonderful evening and representing Temp Associates!
During the event, Mike Thomas and Jen Schwartz shared a little about our Mount Pleasant office, the customers we have had the privilege of working with, and the appreciation we have for the businesses and communities that have supported us over the years.
Since opening our Mount Pleasant location in 1999, we have been proud to help connect great people with great job opportunities while building lasting relationships with local businesses.
❤️ We also had another reason to celebrate! October 14th marked Christina Cook’s 7-year work anniversary! Thank you, Christina, for your dedication and everything you do for Temp Associates!
A special thank you to the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce for organizing the event, Tina Hill for the delicious catering, and everyone who came out to celebrate with us!
As Temp Associates celebrates 40 years in business, we are especially grateful for our employees, customers, and communities who have helped make these milestones possible.

🎉 TODAY WE CELEBRATE 40 YEARS! 🎉

On October 6, 1986, Bob and JoAnn Jensen opened Temp Associates and introduced Muscatine to a new kind of service—temporary staffing.

What began in a 750-square-foot office at 503 Iowa Avenue grew as more local businesses discovered the value of temporary staffing. In 1992, Temp Associates moved into a new office on Second Avenue, and over the years expanded its reach to serve communities throughout Iowa.

But our story has always been about much more than buildings or locations. ❤️

Bob and JoAnn built Temp Associates with a commitment to providing jobs, supporting local businesses, giving back to our communities, and appreciating the people who make it all possible.

🎓 One of the traditions we are especially proud of is the Temp Associates/RJK Scholarship Program.

Over the years, 106 local students have received scholarships totaling more than $1.5 million!

❤️ Muscatine: 85 scholarship recipients — $1,204,000 awarded
❤️ Wilton: 11 scholarship recipients — $180,000 awarded
❤️ Louisa-Muscatine: 10 scholarship recipients — $172,000 awarded

That’s a total of $1,556,000 invested in the education and futures of students right here in our local communities. It’s just one of the many ways Bob and JoAnn’s commitment to giving back has remained part of Temp Associates throughout the years.

And what better way to celebrate 40 years than by celebrating the people behind those years! 🌴☀️

To show their appreciation for our staff and everything they do, Bob and JoAnn treated us to a getaway in Clearwater, Florida, giving everyone a chance to relax, recharge, spend time together, and celebrate this incredible milestone.

It was a wonderful reminder that Temp Associates has always been about more than just business—it’s about people, relationships, community, and the memories we make along the way.

To Bob and JoAnn, our past and present employees, our clients, applicants, scholarship recipients, community partners, and everyone who has been part of our journey—THANK YOU!
