Skagit Valley College Nursing Class of Fall 2011

Skagit Valley College Nursing Class of Fall 2011 For Nursing Students beginning in the Winter of 2010.

Facebook regularly notifies me that this page gets "new views". I am not sure what that means but if there are folks out there just starting the road to nursing school and seeing our old page, I just want to encourage you- it does get better! It is so worth it. Good luck!

It has been a little over a year since we ventured into the world of nursing. They said after a year we would feel pretty strong in our skills and in our job. What do you think?

So it is about 1 year since candle lighting- does anyone want to get together for a few drinks for a reunion?

The page will be deleted in 14 days.

03/23/2012

Do you think we should keep this page going?

I wanted to pass on a list of places to look for work to the next graduating class (we have to do a talk for them tomorrow as part of the BSN program). Where else have you heard about jobs other than regular places (hospitals/skilled nursing facilities)?

01/17/2012

Several jobs posted on MPC today at Skagit.

I received this through UW mailing list in case this might interest anyone:

We are looking for a nurse to do a leave replacement for one year. It is at
our Alternative High School and is 5 hours a day. It would start in mid
January.
Thought I'd see if you know of any nurses or recent grads who might be
looking for something like this. Since it is not full time, I will have a
harder time finding somebody.
It does have full benefits for the one year. There is a chance it could
become permanent if the current nurse does not come back.

Thanks for thinking,
Sandie

Full time job in peri-op and 0.9 position in OR posted at SVH.

10/12/2011

2 more jobs posted yesterday at Skagit... Any other leads on jobs for those still looking?

09/24/2011

SVH posted an evening shift OSC position and a day shift FBC position. Nurse recruiter: Dustin Beazer- stop by the Human resources office (where we got our badges) and drop off a copy of your resume. He can pass your resume around to the appropriate supervisors. Hope this helps!
