Picking up seasonal or holiday work? Your hours still count. Many seasonal and temporary employees are entitled to overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week, just like full-time staff. "Seasonal," "temporary," or "part-time" on your schedule doesn't change what the law says about your paycheck.
If you've been working long weeks during the busy season and the overtime isn't showing up, or you're being told seasonal workers "don't get overtime," it may be worth having someone look at your situation. At The Law Offices of Leo B. Dubler, III, we help South Jersey employees understand their rights at work and figure out their options.
