Meet our Education Chair, Janice!

Janice is a Creative Media Specialist at the Alabama Community College System's Innovation Center, where she designs graphics for print, digital, social, and web channels, assists with website maintenance, and keeps everything on-brand. She also works alongside the curriculum team to bring course materials to life. Janice joined AAF Montgomery in 2026 and is excited to help grow learning opportunities for our creative community. When she's not designing, Janice is happily off the clock at home with her husband and their four-legged crew: dogs Eli and Baby, and cats Todd and Iris, who are always ready to help her unwind.

The Dr. Bruce Roch Scholarship awards $2,000 to a deserving student studying advertising, marketing, graphic design or public relations at a two-year or four-year college or university in Alabama.

The AAF Montgomery community is deeply saddened by the loss of James Belton. James was a mentor, a friend, and an incredibly important part of our club and the AAF organization.

James made history as the first AAF District 7 Governor from Montgomery and the first Black Governor of District 7. His leadership, friendship, and dedication to AAF left a lasting impact on so many, both here in Montgomery and across our district.

We are grateful for the legacy James leaves behind and for the countless lives he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
