Ambassador Personnel is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a direct-hire opportunity in Montgomery, AL. This full-time, in-office position offers the chance to play a vital role in transforming rural healthcare across Alabama through innovative technology initiatives, strategic partnerships, and healthcare modernization efforts.
The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), with a primary focus on the Regional Intelligent Care Collaboratives (RICCs) initiative. This role will oversee complex projects aimed at modernizing healthcare technology infrastructure, improving interoperability, enhancing cybersecurity, strengthening care coordination, and supporting sustainable healthcare delivery throughout rural communities.
Working closely with federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), rural health clinics (RHCs), rural emergency hospitals (REHs), community mental health centers (CMHCs), healthcare technology vendors, state agencies, and community partners, the Project Manager will help drive initiatives involving EHR modernization, health information exchange connectivity, care coordination platforms, cybersecurity programs, and shared-services models that improve healthcare access and outcomes across the state.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible project management experience. Candidates should possess experience managing healthcare, health information technology, healthcare operations, or grant-funded initiatives, as well as a proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across diverse organizations. Strong project planning, facilitation, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software. The ability to travel throughout Alabama as needed is required.
