On April 3rd around 3:30am, the water rescue team was dispatched for a vehicle trapped in rising flood water with two people stuck inside. Units arrived on scene and confirmed the situation. Two swift water rescue technicians entered the water with a raft and made their way to the vehicle. Both people were placed into the raft and moved to safety out of the flood water.

Just a reminder don’t drive through flooded road ways. Turn around!

On July 28 @ 2057 the Monroeville water team was activated to assist with the search for a teenager in the water in Glassport. Units responded with 4 divers and 6 support personnel along with the dive trailer, swift water trailer, rescue 6 and command 32. A joint effort with dive teams from Murrysville , Portvue and numerous boat teams who operated sonar in the areas . divers performed searches in area of last contact. The outcome was not as we hoped, despite a strong effort by all units on scene. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
