We are grateful for the opportunity to welcome Wisconsin State Representatives Shelia Stubbs and Alex Joers to AchieveAbilities. They toured our spaces, met some of the incredible people we serve and heard our hearts for the work we do.

A special thank-you to parent Heather Murray, who continues to be a strong advocate for our mission. With funding for disability services constantly at risk, it is crucial that our state leaders understand the vital role organizations like AchieveAbilities play in our communities.

We need caring people to join the AchieveAbilities team. We need you!

Our Skills Coaches and Day Support Workers do much more than fill a position. They help adults with disabilities build confidence, develop new skills, experience their community, and work toward greater independence.

We are looking for dependable, patient, and encouraging people who believe every person has strengths, purpose, and something valuable to contribute. The work is truly meaningful. The relationships you will build matter.

If you are looking for a job where you can make a real difference in someone’s life, we would love to talk with you.

Please message us to learn more or apply or see the link in the first comment. Even if this position is not for you, sharing this post could help us find the right people to support the individuals we serve.

We are growing! Come grow with us and help people achieve to their very best ability.

🚨 Alert! Our Rights at Risk🚨

The Trump Administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced it will no longer make sure that people with disabilities have the right to live and receive services in the community.

The Trump DOJ is trying to ignore and undermine one of the most important and longstanding civil rights protections people with disabilities have: the US Supreme Court decision (called Olmstead) recognizing the institutional isolation of people with disabilities as discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What should we do? Now is the time to take Action!

📞 Contact your US Senators and Representative and urge them to reject the Trump DOJ position, defend our rights under Olmstead, and support legislation to make Olmstead the law of the land.
📞 Contact Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to demand their commitment to protect home and community-based services and reject any increase in institutionalization
