This leadership role offers the opportunity to work on complex shipboard design, structural analysis, modernization projects, and engineering solutions that support the maritime industry.

📍 Location: Chesapeake, VA
📅 Schedule: Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:
✔ Lead shipboard structural design and engineering projects
✔ Conduct ship checks and vessel assessments
✔ Perform structural calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
✔ Develop AutoCAD drawings and technical reports
✔ Support shipyard inspections and modernization efforts
✔ Analyze and integrate mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
✔ Review engineering deliverables and mentor technical staff
✔ Develop maintenance procedures, technical manuals, and operating instructions

Qualifications:
🔹 Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
🔹 12+ years of experience in Naval Architecture and shipboard structural design
🔹 Strong background in structural engineering calculations and FEA
🔹 Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
🔹 Experience with FEMAP and NX NASTRAN preferred
🔹 Third Assistant Engineer License or higher is a plus

What We're Looking For:
✅ 5+ years of marine drafting/design experience

🔹 Lead engineering and design efforts across multiple disciplines
🔹 Manage engineers, designers, and subcontracted engineering teams

🔹 Coordinate with Project Management and Production teams to ensure project success
