An Aircraft landing gear, often called the undercarriage, is the critical system of wheels, struts, and other components that supports an aircraft when it is not flying. Its primary purpose is to enable safe takeoff, landing, and ground maneuvering by absorbing the massive kinetic energy generated during touchdown. Most modern aircraft use retractable tricycle gear (nose wheel + main gear) for stability and braking, while older or bush planes may use conventional (tailwheel) gear.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:

Your brain says "we're going to crash." The aircraft disagrees. ✈️

Every twin-engine jet you've ever boarded was certified to fly, climb, and land safely on one engine before it ever carried a single passenger.
Under ETOPS rules, some aircraft are approved to fly up to 330 minutes over open ocean on a single engine. That's 5.5 hours over the Pacific. The Boeing 787 and A350 both hold ratings like this.

When an engine fails, the other compensates automatically. Flight computers adjust in milliseconds. For pilots, it's not an emergency — it's a checklist.

SEZ Aviation & Defense Group is supporting an active overseas defense contract and seeking experienced cleared aviation maintenance professionals.

Required:

Active Top Secret clearance (adjudicated within the past 5 years)

Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP)

5+ years hands-on maintenance experience on CH-47 Chinook and AH-64 Apache rotary-wing platforms

Willingness and ability to deploy OCONUS

Must be a U.S. Person as defined under ITAR (22 CFR § 120.62)

Preferred:

Prior depot, field, or organizational-level maintenance on DoD aviation platforms
U.S. military or veteran background
Prior experience supporting classified U.S. government aviation programs
