Machinist – CNC Programmer, Setup/Operator
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota Pay Range: $25-$30/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
Job Type: Full-time (Union) Primary Objective: As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machining equipment, specifically our Horizontal CNC Mill machine. You will work within close tolerance requirements to create high-quality parts, adhering to safety and quality standards.
Major Areas of Accountability:
• Machine high-quality parts within tolerance requirements on a large CNC Horizontal Boring Mill (HBM)
• Set up and layout parts, both manually and using your machine to check proper locations and work offsets
• Read routing information to determine sequence and method of machining
• Perform preventative maintenance of machines and equipment
• Use electric and pneumatic hand tools
• Deburr and hand clean parts
• Complete necessary QA/Customer documentation
• Maintain a clean work area
• Lift and move materials using forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane, or jib crane
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Routinely lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
• Routinely ascend/descend ladders and stairs
• Occasionally work at heights or on platforms
• Occasionally position self in various workspaces, including low, tight, or confined spaces
• Routinely remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Routinely use repetitive motions, including wrists, hands, or fingers to operate machinery or tools
