Say hello to the Connecticut Home Team’s newest Warrant Officer!

Warrant Officer One Kaitlyn Cavanaugh received her Oath of Office during the 107th Warrant Officer Birthday celebration at the Point, Camp Niantic.

WO1 Cavanaugh recently completed Warrant Officer Candidate School at Fort Rucker, Alabama where she will be returning to attend Initial Entry Rotary Wing training, and become a rotary wing aviator in the Connecticut Army National Guard.

Please join us in congratulating Ms. Cavanaugh on her completion of WOCS and appointment to WO1!

As part of the class’s bonding experience together at WOCS, Purple class designed a logo that payed homage to the leadership and wisdom of their Primary TAC, CW4 Lance Prager. This is Mr. Prager’s last WOCS class before he retires. Thank you Mr. Prager for your tremendous guidance and wisdom!

As a their final physical accomplishment of Phase 2, candidates conduct their Victory Run. Accompanied by multiple Senior Warrant Officers, the Victory Run mentally encapsulates all the physical assessment to date, ending with a ring of the class bell. Ringing of the bell in WOCS signifies Victory, achievement, and a finality to their training experience.

WOCS Class 25-001 conducts WOC Olympics

Every Warrant Officer knows that WOC Olympics is a time honored tradition that allows friendly competition between candidates classes, or in this case candidates VS TAC Officers.

Candidates were given the flexibility to develop the events. Even though the candidates were able to narrowly edge out their trainers, much remains to be learned from the collective wisdom of the TAC Team.

Connecticut Warrant Officer Candidates from Class 25-001 transition from grey class by officially receiving their class color and becoming Purple class.

The award of the class color is a time honored tradition at WOCS. The color itself is determined by the prior year class and this achievement marks a significant accomplishment in the candidate’s path to becoming a Warrant Officer One.

Class facilitated Staff Ride to Boston centered around the Boston Freedom Trail

As a Phase II requirement, candidates must complete a 6.2 mile Foot March in 106 minutes (1 hour, 42 mins) carrying a 48-pound rucksack, ACH, and weapon.

This GO/NO-GO event that candidates must overcome along their journey toward becoming a Warrant Officer.

WO1 Tuttle recently completed Warrant Officer Candidate School at Fort Novosel, Alabama where he will be returning to attend Initial Entry Rotary Wing training, and become a rotary wing aviator in the Connecticut Army National Guard.
