Twenty years ago today, New Orleans braced itself for a Category Five hurricane: Katrina. As the city prepared for devastation, our teams worked through the night with one purpose: to protect the livelihoods of the people who depended on us. We knew that when the storm passed, buildings might fall and routines might shatter, but paychecks would mean stability, dignity, and hope. So we pressed on—ensuring that every employee, ours and our clients’, would be paid, no matter what waited on the other side of the storm.
What followed was not only loss, but also an extraordinary outpouring of strength. Our community rose together—neighbors helping neighbors, businesses supporting one another, and people from across the country reaching out with open hands. We are profoundly grateful to everyone who stood with New Orleans, who gave their time, their resources, and their love to help bring this city back to life.
Today, we remember the hardship, but even more, we honor the resilience, the courage, and the spirit that continue to define this community.
