The Jefferson Parish Department of Community Development is seeking new Loan Officers to administer the First-Time Homebuyer Assistance Program.

The Jefferson Community Action Programs Department (JeffCAP) and United Way have collaborated to launch the JeffCAP Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program. Eligible clients may receive up to three months of mortgage assistance.

The JeffCAP Summer Youth Employment Program is designed to assist low-income youth in entering the workforce. It is a 6-week job training program that will employ Jefferson Parish residents ages 17-24 to work within various Jefferson Parish Government departments.

The participant will perform work assignments according to available entry-level positions such as Laborer, Groundskeeper, Animal Care Attendant, Clerk I and many others. They will hold full-time positions, work a 35-40 hour week, and be paid a livable wage.
