Enlisting at 21 in 1943, Bea worked as a truck driver and mechanic—roles vital to military logistics. Stationed at bases across the southeastern U.S., she delivered supplies and maintained vehicles, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant before her honorable discharge in 1945. Her time as a Marine shaped her signature strength and wit, qualities that defined both her military service and her legendary career in entertainment. 🇺🇸
