We've compiled loads of great festive events this coming weekend!

Celebrate Hispanic History Month at the Gamble Garden in Palo Alto or at the Museum of Sonoma County in Santa Rosa, with some early Dia de los Mu***os Celebrations 💀, or get immersed in cultural celebrations in San Francisco at Union Square's Indian Garba 🇮🇳 or with the Italian Heritage Parade 🇮🇹 !

There are at least two different Oktoberfests in the Bay this weekend, one in Foster City and one in Mountain View! Or you can learn and have seasonal fun at the San Francisco Zoo Sunset Friday, the Goblin Jamboree at the Kids Discovery Museum, or Pumpkins in the Park in San Jose. 🎃

Lots to do this weekend, don't let the heat keep you from enjoying this Autumn! 🍂

⭐️ As this down-to-earth family's girls have gotten older and busier with school and sports, the family needs a trusted Family Assistant!

🚗 Duties: Laundry, Dishes, light cleaning, and shopping. The main aspect of this role is driving their older daughter to swim practices in San Jose, 2 to 3 times per week. Car Provided. And run errands while waiting for practice to end. The younger daughter has ADHD, and the Assistant is expected to help her stay focused.

🐶 The family has a dog, a Manchester terrier, who needs time to warm up to a new person.
🏠 Mom is self-employed and works at home, typically in her bedroom or the office. Father works a lot and travels often for business.

⏰ Schedule: M-F, 2 days a week, 12-7pm, 3 days a week, 2:30-9:30pm.
💵 Pay: $45/hr, Payroll; 35 hours per week guaranteed. PTO, 5 days of vacation, 6 days of sick leave. 9 paid holidays.

Seeking a Family Assistant to support a family through a difficult time. The mother is currently undergoing cancer treatment.

The younger son will need transportation to after-school activities and occupational therapy. He will most likely also attend Los Altos Christian School for half-day co-curricular activities. He has autism, ADHD, and dysgraphia, and benefits from gentle reminders and support. The family has an individual tutor who assists with his core educational needs.

He also has severe allergies to wheat and dairy and is currently participating in an extensive allergy immunotherapy program, following a strict and carefully managed diet. Because of this, the parents prefer to handle the cooking. Light kitchen support, however, such as washing dishes, will be part of the role.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and can stay on top of the family’s evolving schedule. This person should be comfortable “changing hats” throughout the day and proactively provide support.

💵 Pay: $40 per hour
