I just want to take a moment to give a big shout-out to Olvin Garza for his awesome decision to join the United States Army Reserve! Olvin is currently a senior at Heritage High School and has his future all mapped out. His commitment to serving our country is truly inspiring, and it shows how much he cares about something bigger than himself. Let’s all give him a huge round of applause! 🇺🇸💪🏽🎊

Olvin enlisted as a Petroleum Supply Specialist, you’ll supply the Army with the fuel it needs to maintain a state of readiness at all times. You’ll supervise and manage the reception, storage, and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum-based products. You’ll oversee its use, dispense it to various vehicles and aircraft, and make sure it is being transported and handled safely. You will learn how refueling systems and equipment are assembled sequentially, perform quality assurance, and you’ll supply and store fuel from a variety of sources.

Incentives:

I just want to say a big thank you to the City of Palm Bay for inviting us to the Veterans Parade. It was such an awesome experience getting to chat with veterans from different branches of the military. Hearing their stories really opened our eyes to their dedication and sacrifices. The vibe was full of pride and gratitude for everything they’ve done, and it was a real honor to celebrate the legacies they’ve created for our country. A huge shoutout to all the veterans for your unwavering commitment and the sacrifices you’ve made!

Don’t originally went to school in the Bahamas 🇧🇸 and will now be on his way to becoming a soldier. His brother went to school here in Brevard County and his mom currently serves in the United States Army Reserve.

Staff Sergeant Griffin, Sergeant First Class Mundo, and Sergeant First Class Brock celebrated their going away ceremony last week..

Staff Sergeant Griffin served as a Recruiter for the US Army Melbourne Recruiting station for 4 years and truly made an impact on the community. He was the primary recruiter for Melbourne High School and excelled at embodying his wisdom, knowledge, and competence as a soldier in the US Army. He will be transitioning out of the military after serving honorably for 10 years and has plans to work in the Corporate IT sector in Brevard County, FL.

Sergeant First Class Brock who will be PCSing to GA served as the station commander for the US Army Melbourne Recruiting Station. He has helped the station through its highs and lows for its recruiting numbers, but always stayed faithful and strong to keep pushing. He is not one for giving up as with any job there is always challenges and if there is a challenge he is always up for it.

Sergeant First Class Mundo served as the Deputy Station Commander who will be PCSing to Maryland and will now take over a new station serving as the incoming Station Commander. He came to the recruiting station with previous recruiter knowledge and brought his Latino swag with him. No matter the task, the problem, or roadblocks that came his way he always found a way to put his best efforts into his work. He fully supported his team, encouraged everyone, gave his best advice, and made a statement for himself and the community while serving as a Recruiter here in Melbourne, FL.

Thank you to leadership, family, and friends for the consistent push to see potential in all 3 soldiers. Their hard work will not go unnoticed and will always be reflected here at the Melbourne Army Recruiting Station. May your future be great whether it’s in the Army or out the Army and best of luck to you all.

Farewell to Sergeant Kaitlyn Liriano-Lora as she leaves the US Army..

She served as an Army Recruiter at the Melbourne Army Recruiting which was her last assignment. Being the Army Recruiter for Palm Bay high school, she helped students learn about the military culture and how the US Army could help them POST high school with their future endeavors.

Thank you Sergeant Liriano-Lora for all your dedicated hardwork, professionalism, and sassy personality 💁🏻‍♀️to help balance out the team 😅. You will be truly missed and we wish you nothing but the best in your future.

Congratulations Griff for his exceptional recruiting abilities, dedication, perseverance, and skill in earning the Recruiter Ring. The ring is not easy to get by any means, as Staff Sergeant as he also earned his Gold Badge last as well in 2023 👏🏾👏🏾.

4 years later and Sergeant First Class will be leaving the Melbourne Army Recruiting Station 🏝️..

Sergeant First Class Nanclares was and is an important asset to the team of recruiters here in Melbourne, FL. He willing came in to work everyday with a “purpose, task and goal” of ALWAYS trying to accomplish the mission despite the heartache it gave at times.

He was assigned to Bayside High School and helped so many students throughout the years of being to enlisting into the United States Army. Helping students, teachers, friends and taking care of his family while working hard to help the station achieve their mission.

While on recruiting, he has been awarded the US Army Gold Badge, and awarded the US Army Recruiter Ring for exceptional service while serving as a Recruiter. Those achievements are not easy to get and he deserves every award available because of his hard work and dedication to helping the Army grow.

Enjoy Battalion 🏝️, you will do great things and surely excel as a Station Commander “RICO SUAVE” 😉

Really proud of this motivated Future Soldier Jason Marquez for enlisting in the US Army as a 68K "Medical Laboratory Specialist". He also got $47,500 enlistment bonus. As a 68K he will have the responsibility of caring for and aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of the Soldiers. He will sample blood types, perform blood banking, conduct laboratory procedures, maintain laboratory equipment, pack, unpack, store and distribute blood and blood products.
