ITC encourages all people to hire, employ, and conduct business with humanity as an unspoken tenet, then profitability & sustainabilty as the goal.

When nothing is sacred, conglomerates are willing to sacrifice anything for a few more pennies, and blame a common scapegoat. No ocean, no child, no law is sacred in the behemoth's quest for ultimate power and wealth.

And it is all happening at arm's length - no one to blame in the sea of shareholders, committees, foundations, and BODs.

Leaders: Act carefully, humbled, and surround yourself only with those who match your energy. Heighten your frequency and sustainability and view that as your wealth.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth - the day when, in 1865, 2 years AFTER the Emancipation Proclamation, General George Granger rode into Galveston, TX with his Union troops and read General Order No. 3, which began: "The people of Texas are informed that in accordance with a Proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all slaves are free. This involves an absolute equality of rights and rights of property between former masters and slaves, and the connection heretofore existing between them becomes that between employer and hired laborer." www.juneteenth.com

On this Memorial Day, we at Iowa Talent Consortium raise a glass of our finest Irish Whiskey to those who have served our country and have paid the ultimate price., We also raise a glass to those who made it back home and survive every day, because it is far more deadly here. 22 Veterans a day take their own life. We think that is 22 too many.
ITC works with companies to effectively reach out and hire disabled and non-disabled veterans so their entrance back into civilian life is a smoother transition. These two here have a strong support network behind them - we love them dearly and thank God for them. Kiss and hug your veterans today and tell them how special they are because they ARE!

It's time, people. Time to get diversified and inclusive! There are very talented people out there who might not write the best resume or interview well, but guess what? That's ok! Because the traditional in-person interview is one of the worst determinants of success on the job. An applicant's GPA in high school is a better indicator, statistically speaking. Want to know more about hiring the best people instead of the best interviewees? ITC can teach your managers how. Call us 563-432-7109

No time to update this year to the current standards for the online portal? No problem. We've worked with organizations that have had one-pagers to complete compliance, with ease. And HR was so happy to hand it over.

Last night with Nikole Hannah-Jones was amazing. Hard to believe the Iowa legislature passed a law to restrict teaching of any historical facts that contain discrimination whether it be racism, sexism, gender- based, based on national origin, religion, disability,....

The 1619 Project is a must read for a true picture of American history and a true American experience that is NOT white washed and red lined.

As the late great Paul Mooney said, "Know your history!"

I am so EXCITED!!!!! I finally get to see NIKOLE HANNAH-JONES!!!! Just finishing up Chapter 13 of 1619 as it is a very compelling read and I am furiously taking notes for future essays and reports. Put it next to the Iowa Legislature's House File 802 which was recently enact to "f. Prohibit the use of curriculum that teaches the topics of sexism, slavery, racial oppression, racial segregation, or racial discrimination, including topics relating to the enactment and enforcement of laws resulting in sexism, racial oppression, segregation, and discrimination. House File 802, p. 7 Sec. 4. "

The best way to fight off a monster is to ignore it, according to Iowa lawmakers. #1619

According to the Bureau of Labor Statisitics, job openings are outpacing hires by 28% for the first three quarters of 2021. That means job postings just aren't going to cut it. You need real people doing real digging to contact people who aren't necessarily looking about your opportunity.

ITC can help you build a strategy that makes sense for your business to find those "passive" candidates that aren't looking in the want ads but would be open to a conversation. Because if your revenues count on people, you can't rely on a posting or ad.
