AmeriStaff, Inc. is hiring Baler Operators for a great opportunity in the Martinsville area! If you’re dependable, safety-minded, and ready to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you! 💪
📍 Location: Martinsville, VA
💰 Pay: $17.92/hour
⏰ 12-Hour Shifts: 7 AM–7 PM / 7 PM–7 AM
🔄 Schedule: 4 days ON / 4 days OFF
🌙 Rotating Days & Nights: Each time you return from your 4 days off, you’ll switch from days to nights.
🔧 What You’ll Do:
• Safely operate and monitor industrial baling equipment
• Prepare and feed materials into the baler
• Monitor bale size, density, weight, and quality
• Tie, wrap, label, and stage completed bales
• Perform routine equipment inspections
• Identify jams, malfunctions, and unsafe conditions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, PPE, lockout/tagout, and environmental procedures
• Maintain production and equipment records
• Assist with cleaning and basic preventative maintenance
✅ What We’re Looking For:
• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred
• Willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team
• Ability to work around heat, noise, machinery, and moving equipment
