Badger State Staffing has openings for packagers with a local Marshfield company. These openings are in a Food Grade Environment where you will be required to wear all proper PPE provided and consists of lifting 50lbs consistently throughout the shift. There are openings on the day (6am-6pm) and night shift (6pm-6am) and starting pay is $19.50-$20.50 per hour with weekly pay. All candidates must have at least 6 months to 1-year previous related experience.

Requirements:

• Set up & operate all pcs of the filling pkg. equip as well as perform hand-filling tasks
• Understand & follow all packaging instructions on production cards and daily schedule (i.e., Weights, label requirements, formula integrity, machine number, etc.)
• Keep accurate production records, report information daily and accurate reporting in SAP
• Inspect in-process goods for proper weights, labeling, packaging, pallet configuration, correct and/or report defects.
• Sanitation duties, proper housekeeping, & adhere to safety and GMP procedures
• Maintain equipment, report all machinery issues, & resolve basic mechanical issues
• Gather samples per specifications
• Changeovers and wash downs (including chemical, allergen, and kosher) of equipment
• Participate in team/department meetings, offering suggestions when warranted
• Dispose of trash and knowledge to operate compactor

Qualifications:

• Use logical thinking while multi-tasking
• Remember policies and procedures, ask the supervisor for help when needed
• Ability to read and interpret various formula sheets, printed/written materials, and computer screens
• Able to distinguish colors and do basic math
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Climb ladders/stairs & bend/stoop to work around equipment
• Operate hand tools, hp water hoses, & enter info onto touchscreen computer
• Work 12 hours, plus overtime when needed. Flexible to work other shifts.
• Fork truck license required or ability to become fork truck certified
• Work in a team-based environment
• Wear a fitted respirator and/or dust mask as needed
• Able to complete annual pulmonary function monitoring and testing
