Welder

Responsibilities:

Overtime as needed often on short notice, weekends.
Experience welding MIG
Basic math skills, be detail and task oriented.
Able to work individually or as a team and with all levels of the company.
Self-motivated, ability to meet established project schedules while working on projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

Certification in Welding is preferred
Strong skill sets in MIG welding
Ability to read tape measure and work instructions

Responsibilities:

Set up and operates computer numerical control (CNC) Swiss lathes to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.
Detect and change worn tooling. Make adjustments using tool wear offsets on the CNC control to ensure part conformity.
Selects, aligns, secures collets and guide bushings, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material on machines.
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required.
Perform program edits and troubleshooting while proving out new programs.
Studies engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications via first article inspection and in process inspection of critical dimensions.
Confer with production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problems.
Perform other duties as required such as basic machine maintenance.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing using the English language.
Must be able to read and understand internal procedures and policies.
Have the ability to use measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, indicators, gage pins.
Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.
High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or higher with 2 years minimum experience running CNC Swiss type lathes or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Math skills: decimals, percentages, fractions, ratios, proportions, geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T experience preferred.
Have basic computer knowledge and skills.
Experience with Marubeni Citizen-Cincom controls is a definite plus, will strongly consider any previous Swiss lathe experience.

We are currently seeking a Quality Tech I for our client in Memphis, TN. The Quality Tech I will be responsible for using inspection equipment, measuring techniques and use of PC and mainframe computer system that extends beyond, but also includes, the responsibilities of inspection of finished and in-process products by performing visual, basic dimensional and documentation inspection per specified procedures or instructions within the framework of the FDA Quality Systems Requirements (QSR’s) and ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities:
Entry-level position with limited prior training or relevant work experience
Applies basic technical skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization
Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks

Qualifications:
High School education or GED equivalency
Ability to read blue prints
Ability to read measuring instruments (micrometers, scales, calipers, and indicators)
One year experience in a position involving inspecting parts to blueprints using measuring instruments (micrometer and calipers)
Understanding of general manufacturing processes
Basic knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
