It’s been a minute… but we’re back at it. 🇺🇸

Today I had the privilege of enlisting two outstanding individuals who have chosen to answer the call to serve.
03.gan is someone I’ve known personally, which made today even more meaningful. Watching someone you know make the commitment to serve their state and country is something special. He enlisted as an 11B Infantryman, and I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes.

is a dedicated JROTC cadet from Auburn High School who enlisted as a 19D Cavalry Scout. He already has his sights set on the future, with plans to participate in ROTC and earn a commission as an Army officer. It’s always exciting to see someone with a clear vision for the future and the drive to make it happen.

Congratulations to both of you on taking this first step. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your journey. Stay focused, stay humble, and never lose sight of why you started.

Two more Soldiers are taking the next step in their military careers today. 🇺🇸
luna12 is headed to Phase II AIT to complete her training as a 31B Military Police Soldier.

is shipping to Basic Training and AIT to begin her journey as a 92G Culinary Specialist.

No matter where they are in the process, both have chosen to challenge themselves and serve something greater than themselves. We couldn’t be more proud of their commitment and the work they’ve put in to reach this point.

Wishing you both nothing but success as you take on the next challenge. Stay motivated, trust your training, and represent Illinois with pride. We’ll be looking forward to seeing everything you accomplish.

Some journeys mean a little more because of everything it took to get there.

Today we shipped to Basic Training, and I couldn’t be more proud of everything she’s overcome to reach this moment. There were obstacles along the way that could have easily made her give up, but she stayed focused, kept pushing forward, and earned this opportunity.

This is proof that perseverance pays off. The challenges don’t stop here, but if the determination she’s already shown is any indication, she’s more than ready for what’s ahead.

Congratulations, and good luck at Basic Training. Keep pushing, trust the process, and make us proud. We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.

Another Soldier on her way to achieve great things. 🇺🇸

Today we sent off as she begins Basic Training and AIT to become an 88M Motor Transport Operator in the Illinois Army National Guard.

The decision to serve takes courage, and the journey ahead will challenge her in ways that will build confidence, discipline, and resilience. We are proud of her commitment to something bigger than herself and excited to see all she accomplishes throughout her training.

The journey starts with a single step, and today two more Illinois Army National Guard Soldiers took theirs. 🇺🇸

is headed to OSUT to earn the title of 19D Cavalry Scout.

is shipping to Phase I of Basic Training through the Split Training Option Program before returning home to finish high school.

Today we sent off two outstanding members of the Illinois Army National Guard as they continue their military journey.

is headed to Advanced Individual Training to complete training as a 13B Cannon Crewmember.
the_unbreakable is shipping to Phase I of Basic Training through the Split Training Option Program, taking the first step toward completing initial entry training while finishing high school.
