We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Reach Truck Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating reach trucks to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate a reach truck to transport materials to and from designated areas in the warehouse.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a reach truck or other powered equipment.
• Conduct equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., charging battery, cleaning).
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, and order fulfillment using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Maintain proper storage and rotation of inventory in line with FIFO/LIFO systems.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols; report unsafe conditions or equipment to management.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a reach truck operator or forklift driver (6 months to 2+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in cold, hot, or noisy environments depending on warehouse conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with RF scanners and WMS software.
• Additional forklift certifications (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jack).
• Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
• Primarily warehouse environment.
• Standing, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
