***Rocket Sound: SARS-CoV-2 (Coronavirus) Abatement Protocols***
.
Rocket Sound is approved by SAG/AFTRA and the City of LA to conduct operations as of June 12.
This is based upon a set of guidelines supplied by the city, which is posted at the entrance to our facility.
It also is based upon the following set of practices specific to our business:
.
- The only people in the facility are the talent in the booth, the engineer in the control room, and one support person elsewhere in the facility.
- Everyone else – director, assistant, clients, etc. – is on videoconference.
- All personnel in the facility wear masks at all time covering mouth and nose, except for the talent while performing. We are making masks easily available to anyone who arrives without a proper face covering.
- Social distancing is observed at all times.
- Session schedules allow for at least 30 minutes transition time between actors.
- Headphones and pop filters are swapped out after each session, sanitized, and not reused for 24 hours.
- We disinfect hard surfaces such as doorknobs, remotes, tables, chair handles, light switches, etc., before each session, once or more per day as needed.
- We run a HEPA filter overnight in the recording stage.
- Rocket Sound North has an airy, large common area.
We are able to ventilate this in such a way that air changes out quickly, which is a robust natural way to abate transmission of viruses.
.
We will continue to observe these guidelines for the duration of the pandemic. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during these difficult times.
