I have told people to not be afraid of asking for help, bout it’s been hard for me to do! I want to be the solution always but that’s not how life works. Share if you may. I am so grateful for you all.

You know what’s worse than bombing an interview? Thinking you absolutely NAILED it.

You had chemistry. They laughed. You laughed. Someone said, “This was such a great conversation.” You left feeling pretty damn good.

And then… 👻 Nothing.

Or the automated rejection three weeks later that starts with, “We were impressed by your background.” Cool cool cool.

Here’s what I want you to know: you probably didn’t bomb it. But having a great conversation and giving them a reason to hire you are two very different things.

So if you’ve been replaying the interview trying to find the exact moment you ruined everything, stop.

You’re probably looking for the wrong thing.

People spend hours rewriting headlines. Changing banners. Tweaking keywords.

Important? Sure. But none of that matters if nobody knows you exist.

Tip:

Before you close LinkedIn today:

• Leave one thoughtful comment.

• Send one genuine connection request.

• Message one person you've been meaning to reach out to.

That's three actions.

Ten minutes.

Much better ROI than another hour of scrolling.

If LinkedIn feels awkward, overwhelming, or like a giant black hole...

Book a Strategy Call.

I'll show you exactly how to use it to build relationships instead of just watch other people build theirs.

Imagine walking into a networking event...
..grabbing a drink...

Standing in the corner for 45 minutes...

Listening to everyone else talk...

Then leaving without saying hello.

Ridiculous, right?

People do exactly that on LinkedIn every day.

Today's newsletter is about the difference between using LinkedIn and just being on LinkedIn.

Reply LINKEDIN and I'll send it over.

You don't have a LinkedIn problem.

You have an Instagram habit.

Somewhere along the way, LinkedIn became another place to scroll.

You check it. Like a few posts. Maybe congratulate someone on a promotion.

Then close the app.

It feels productive.

But if you logged off without making one new connection...You weren't networking.

You were consuming.

Big difference.

When was the last time LinkedIn actually led to a conversation for you?

If you've applied to 100+ jobs, I probably don't want to rewrite your resume.

By the time someone books a call after sending 100 or 200 applications, they usually think they need:

• a better resume
• better keywords
• better formatting

Sometimes.

But more often? We discover they're solving the wrong problem.

Your bottleneck is usually one of three things:

👉 Positioning
👉 Targeting
👉 Messaging

Until you know which one is broken, every application is just another experiment.

If you've been applying for months and aren't sure what's actually holding you back, book a Strategy Call. We'll identify the real bottleneck so you can stop guessing and start getting interviews. Link in comments.

If your job search spreadsheet has more tabs than interviews, we need to talk.

I love a good spreadsheet.

Color code it.
Track it.
Organize it.

But if you've applied to 200 jobs and landed four interviews... The spreadsheet isn't what's broken.

The strategy is.

I wrote about why so many talented people keep doubling down on a job search that's quietly telling them it isn't working.

Today's newsletter breaks down the three places your strategy is probably leaking opportunities.

Comment NUMBERS and I'll send it to you.

I met someone who had a color-coded spreadsheet tracking over 200 job applications. They tracked every application.

Every follow-up.
Every rejection.

It was beautiful, but it was also heartbreaking because all that work had led to four interviews.

Sometimes the problem isn't that you're not trying hard enough. It's that you're measuring effort instead of effectiveness.

If this feels familiar, you're not alone.

Have you ever realized you were working really hard...on the wrong thing?

One of the biggest misconceptions about job searching is that people think they need a better resume.

Most of the time, they need a better story.

I work with incredibly talented creatives who are unintentionally underselling themselves—not because they lack experience, but because they don't know how they're coming across.

Melissa said it better than I ever could:

"Many of us creatives have no idea how we come across or how we're unknowingly sabotaging ourselves. Nobody teaches us these things."

She's right.

Nobody teaches creatives how to market themselves.

That's the work I do.

If your freelance pipeline has dried up, your resume isn't getting traction, or you're tired of guessing how you're coming across...

Let's fix it.

DM me READY and I'll send you the details.

The genius of The Breakfast Club is that every character has a lane.

Imagine if every character tried to be every stereotype. It would've been a terrible movie.

A lot of resumes make the same mistake.

They try so hard to show everything you've ever done that they never answer the one question a hiring manager is asking:

"Why you for this role?"

You're allowed to be multidimensional.

Your resume just doesn't have to introduce every version of you on page one.

I unpacked this in today's newsletter. If it didn't hit your inbox, comment which breakfast club member you relate to most and I'll send it your way.
