You are not stupid because branding yourself feels hard.

Most of you built your careers making other people look clear, compelling, strategic, and valuable.

You’ve been inside the work. Inside the team. Inside the machine.

Now suddenly you’re supposed to step outside yourself, become objective, identify your value, position your experience, write about yourself confidently, and somehow do it while stressed and unemployed?

Of course that feels difficult.

Introspection is hard.
Objectivity is hard.
Especially when you’ve spent years being collaborative instead of self-focused.

A lot of smart people spiral in the job search because they think “if I was really good, this would come naturally.”

No.

This is a completely different skill set.

And it’s one you can learn. Book an hour with me if you need some help.

A lot of talented people accidentally minimize themselves with one tiny word:

“Just.”

Meanwhile they’re solving impossible problems, keeping projects alive under pressure, and preventing entire launches from falling apart.

The things that feel normal to you are often the exact things companies are desperately trying to hire for.

Stop shrinking the story while you’re telling it.

A lot of people are approaching this market like a numbers game.

More applications. More resumes. More hoping someone notices them.

But when every role has hundreds of applicants, blending in becomes the biggest risk.

The people getting traction right now are the ones making themselves easy to understand, easy to remember, and easy to picture inside the business.

Clear positioning changes everything.

If your search feels noisy, messy, or like you’re throwing great experience into a void… that’s exactly the kind of thing I help people fix.

DM me “strategy” and let’s figure out how to make your experience impossible to overlook.

A lot of people wait until they’re laid off to start thinking about positioning, networking, or how they show up professionally.

Which makes sense… until suddenly you’re stressed, burned out, competing with hundreds of applicants, and trying to figure all of it out at once.

Career strategy works a lot better before the panic hits.

Because future-proofing yourself isn’t just about avoiding layoffs. It’s about making sure you always know how to communicate your value, stay visible, and move intentionally when opportunities come up.

The best time to build that muscle is before you desperately need it.

If your LinkedIn About section starts with “passionate professional with 10+ years of experience”…

I’m begging you to let her go.

Not because it’s wrong. Because it tells me absolutely nothing about you. The strongest profiles don’t sound corporate. They sound specific.

They sound like the person who can:
👉 calm down the impossible client
👉 untangle the broken process
👉 ship the launch in chaos
👉 or turn a messy brief into something that actually works.

That’s the stuff people remember. AI can write “results-driven storyteller” in two seconds. It cannot write your actual lived experience.

That’s the difference.

Book an hour with me if you need help getting your LinkedIn in shape.

A lot of people feel embarrassed they stayed too long at a bad job.

But staying doesn’t mean you were weak. Usually it means you were committed, hopeful, adaptable, and trying to make it work.

And even if the environment wasn’t healthy, you still learned things there.

You learned what bad leadership feels like.
What burnout feels like.
What kind of work culture drains you instead of grows you.

That’s valuable information for the next chapter.

Sometimes the lesson isn’t “I should’ve left sooner.”

Sometimes it’s “now I know what I’ll never tolerate again.”

Book an hour with me if you're ready to find the next thing.

If you've built content calendars, grown communities, and made beauty/food/wellness brands actually pop on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook — read this.

I'm placing an Organic Social Media Manager for a DTC brand client. This one's for a real operator, not someone still figuring it out.

What the role looks like:
→ Remote, ongoing contract (30–60 hrs/week)
→ $45–$60/hr depending on experience
→ US-based, PST availability required
→ Multi-account management across beauty, food, and wellness verticals
→ Content creation, community management, performance reporting — the full picture
The right person has already done this at a high level. They know how to shift strategy when the numbers say to, they don't need a playbook handed to them, and they can show the work.
If that's you — DM me your resume and portfolio.

Referrals welcome. Tag someone who fits.

If 200 applications are turning into silence… it’s probably not an effort problem. It’s a targeting problem.

The people getting traction right now usually aren’t applying everywhere.

They’re getting specific. Researching companies deeply. Understanding the language, the problems, the team dynamics.

Then they position themselves like someone who already belongs there.

Ten thoughtful applications will outperform 200 generic ones almost every time.

A lot of people don’t need more motivation. They need a clearer strategy.

Because applying more, posting more, networking more… without understanding how you’re positioned in this market just creates more noise.

The strongest job searches usually start with three things:

Who are you now?
Who actually needs that version of you?
And does your positioning make that obvious?

Most people skip those questions and go straight to applying.

That’s usually where the spiral starts. My Foundations bundle is here to help you-- DM me to sign up!

Everyone is calling themselves a “storyteller” right now. And technically… they’re not wrong.

But “storyteller” is not the specialty. It’s the method. The real question is: what kind?

A copywriter tells stories through language.
An art director tells them visually.
A strategist tells them through insight and positioning.
A content lead builds the system that keeps the story consistent.
A performance marketer builds the journey that gets people to act.

The problem is when everyone stops at “storyteller.” Because hiring managers can’t hire vague.

They need to quickly understand how you think, where you fit, and what kind of problems you solve.

Your title tells them what you do. Your positioning tells them why you matter. DM me if you need help with both
