LA Apollo Alliance Good, Green Jobs for LA The ordinance passed with unanimous support from the City Council and Mayor, and grassroots support from thousands of residents.

In 2006, SCOPE convened the LA Apollo Alliance, a partnership of 25 community-based organizations, labor unions and environmental groups. In 2009, after a three-year campaign, SCOPE and LA Apollo won a citywide ordinance establishing the City of Los Angeles Green Retrofit and Workforce Program. We are currently working with and pushing the city to implement a comprehensive, sustainable program that realizes the vision of the ordinance.
