Are you looking for a supportive clinical environment where you can truly collaborate? DNG Placement Services, Inc. has been engaged to find an experienced Registered Dietitian for a premier skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation facility in Brooklyn!

We are seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian with dedicated adult and geriatric experience to manage a caseload of
approximately 80 patients. In this role, you will work alongside three other experienced Registered Dietitians, offering a rare opportunity for peer collaboration, shared coverage, and professional support.

Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement treatment, evaluate, and document patient care accordingly.
Complete Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments accurately and timely.
Attend and actively participate in multidisciplinary care plan meetings.
Collaborate on dysphagia management in partnership with speech therapy (SLP) and nursing.
Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for long-term care and subacute rehabilitation residents.
Ensure compliance with CMS and state regulations.

Qualifications
Credential: Registered Dietitian (RD or CDN) required.
Licensure: Active NYS Dietitian license (or eligibility required).
Experience: Must have previous clinical experience working with adult and geriatric populations within Long-term care, SNF, subacute rehab settings.
Technology: Must have prior Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.

Skills:
Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and MDS documentation.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $80k - $90k (based on experience).

This often does not come to light in detail. Here is what was & wasn’t said:
1. The nursing shortage worsened after Covid, inconsistent staffing patterns have accelerated at most long term care facilities. To supplement staff the facilities must rely on agency replacements; some (not all) of whom may not be trained/ experienced enough for the level of care needed in a nursing home.
2. Usual staffing patterns (in all departments) are too sparse for necessary level of care, thus burning out and high turnover of solid, experienced staff.
3. These ‘fines’ translate to negligent care. Who paid what and when is not as important as resolving issues to provide quality care and safety for the residents who call these nursing homes their new home.
4. Many repeat offenders are the same nursing homes that have been renamed and/or sold.
5. Anyone can check CMS online for (what should be annual) State Survey results.

Troubling incidents are among the 18 citations issued for serious health and safety violations, including multiple allegations of physical or sexual abuse.
