Great news from our friends in Folsom!
The newly reimagined Folsom Bike Park officially celebrates its grand reopening Saturday, May 16, with a full day of riding, demos, jump jams, raffles and family activities as the longtime community riding destination returns following a complete redesign.
The project was completed through a partnership between the City of Folsom and FATRAC, with world-renowned trail builders Randy Spangler and Greg Watts leading the redesign of the park’s features and riding areas. The updated park was designed to create a progressive riding experience for everyone from first-time riders and younger cyclists to advanced riders.
The grand reopening celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include professional rider demonstrations, bike safety checks, raffle prizes from community partners and a jump jam showcasing the park’s new features.
The reopening also highlights a strong community effort behind the project, with more than $31,000 raised to help rebuild and sustain the park for the future. Volunteer support and future maintenance days hosted through FATRAC will continue helping maintain the trails and riding surfaces.
The Folsom Bike Park is open daily from dawn to 9 p.m. and is limited to non-motorized bicycles only. Helmets are required, and the park closes during wet conditions to protect riding surfaces.
