I am sad to report the passing today of our beloved horse, Larry. His registered name was Wizards Spell Troubles Exemplary. He was known world wide as "The Little Horse That Can Jump". He only stood 30 inches tall - yet he cleared 44 inch jumps multiple times during his career. Some of his YouTube videos had over 1 million views. He won the AMHA World Championship in Jumper 9 times, and took the Reserve 5 times.

After Larry won his first world championship we changed our ranch logo to a picture of him taking off for a jump.

He LOVED to jump. And although he was a stallion, he was gentle enough that he was often shown by children. He had a big heart and was always willing to do his best.

Larry died peacefully in Carla's arms while I was petting him. He was 24 years old. He leaves 3 daughters on our show team and 2 sons as therapy horses.

Exemplary Promise, Larry's daughter, competed in her first show at Belton in March 2022. She is only a yearling, so she can't jump yet. But she did great in Halter Obstacle. Mornings Glory is also a Larry filly. Glory won several blue ribbons in Halter Obstacle and in Hunter.

Larry's 2019 foal: Sunset Mountain Norma Dee. Dam is Bayin at the Moon. "Norma Dee" was born June 6th. She has already been sold. And she is already jumping over things in the pasture. She will be trained as a jumper when she is old enough.

Sunset Mountain Exemplary Monarch, "Monarch" is a c**t sired by Larry. Monarch has worked at Mini Hooves of Love (along with some other Sunset Mountain horses) for many years. Monarch and Mini Hooves of Love started taking part in the "Just Say Whoa To Bullying" campaign several years ago. Here they are in a recent visit in Chisum, Tx. with members of the Chisum ISD Police Department. Sunset Mountain Mornings Glory has just been awarded Hall of Fame status by the American Miniature Horse Registry. Glory is Larry's daughter. She won it in both AMHR Jumper and AMHR Halter Obstacle.

In 2018, after jumping for 13 years, Wizards Spell Troubles Exemplary (AKA Larry) retired. Larry won 9 World Championships and 8 Reserve World Championships. Here are a few pictures.
