Those within the Lincoln area with a network of friends, please share!

NCBVI is looking to contract with individuals to provide driver and reader services in the Lincoln area. While the hours will vary each week, we currently have a significant need so there is potential for consistent work at the time of this posting.

The primary duties of the contractor include driving a state vehicle to transport staff, NCBVI board of commissioners, or clients to NCBVI appointments/events. The contractor will also assist with reading documents or aiding in completing applications. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

The contractor will be paid $16.00/hour and will be paid for the time that they are on the job assignment. The contractor will often drive an individual to a place and then have downtime in the car while the staff member is at an appointment, all of which is paid time.

Most of the hours will be Monday-Friday 8-5, although occasional evening and weekend hours may be requested. As an independent contractor, you have the right to accept/deny assignments.

The contractor will be covered under the state of NE liability insurance.

Qualified candidates should have a good driving record, ability to pass a criminal background check, and have the availability listed above.
