🌟 Meet Brodie! 🌟

Brodie is a Registered Environmental Health Scientist III with the Nebraska Department of Water, Energy, and Environment, and has served the State of Nebraska for more than five and a half years!

She began her career with the State right out of college and worked her way from Environmental Health Scientist I to her current role after earning her REHS license.

Brodie conducts food safety and sanitation inspections at schools, childcare centers, and senior centers, helping ensure these facilities follow important health and safety regulations. She also reviews kitchen plans and helps other sections when needed.

Her favorite part of working for the State? Her team! 💙 She says they're small but mighty, bringing dedication and a willingness to help both each other and Nebraskans.

Her work is especially important because it helps protect children and older adults from unsafe food and sanitation practices. She also gets to educate facility staff and help them keep up with changing regulations.

As a Nebraska native, Brodie wanted a career where she could give back to the communities she grew up in. Knowing her work helps keep people safe is the most rewarding part of her job.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, knitting, crocheting, and baking. 📚🧶🍰

🎃 Fun fact: Brodie was born on Halloween!

💬 Her advice: “Adapt to change, communicate clearly.”

👏 Thank you, Brodie, for helping keep Nebraskans safe!
