Join the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services and help improve health outcomes for Medicaid members across the state.

DHHS is seeking a Heritage Health Program Coordinator to support the Medicaid and Long-Term Care team in Lincoln, NE. This role plays a key part in coordinating program operations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and supporting high-quality health plan performance for Nebraska’s Medicaid population.

In this role, you will:
✔ Coordinate administration of state and federally funded programs
✔ Monitor, analyze, and manage grievance and appeals processes
✔ Support contract compliance and health plan performance requirements
✔ Develop program policies, procedures, and evaluation criteria
✔ Analyze data, quality metrics, and performance trends
✔ Collaborate with state/federal partners, health plans, and community stakeholders
✔ Participate in policy development, hearings, and corrective action planning

📍 Location: Lincoln, NE
💰 Hiring Rate: $26.138/hour

Dan is an HR Specialist/Generalist with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and has been serving the State of Nebraska for 2.5 years!

He supports employees across the agency by processing payroll, managing workers’ compensation claims, assisting with hiring, attending career fairs, and helping employees navigate benefits and workplace questions.

Dan loves working in HR because it gives him the opportunity to help people every day. Whether he's assisting someone through a workplace injury, resolving a payroll concern, or helping bring new employees onboard, he enjoys making a positive impact.

🌲 Dan also knows that supporting employees means supporting Nebraska’s parks, wildlife, and outdoor recreation opportunities that so many Nebraskans enjoy.

Outside of work, he enjoys hiking with his family, cheering on Husker sports, and exploring new outdoor destinations. This year, his family is headed to the Canadian Rockies! 🏔️

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking dedicated psychiatrists to join the team at Lincoln Regional Center (LRC), Nebraska's Joint Commission-accredited state psychiatric hospital serving adults with complex mental health needs.

This is an opportunity to practice meaningful medicine, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals experiencing serious mental illness.

As part of Nebraska's behavioral health system, you will:
✔ Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
✔ Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
✔ Provide medication management and therapeutic interventions
✔ Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other clinical professionals
✔ Participate in treatment planning, peer consultation, and case reviews
Forensic Psychiatrists will also:
✔ Conduct competency, criminal responsibility, and risk assessments
✔ Prepare forensic reports for courts and other entities
✔ Perform civil commitment and forensic mental health evaluations
✔ Provide expert consultation regarding forensic patient care and treatment needs

📍 Location: Lincoln, NE
💰 Compensation:
• General Psychiatrist – Starting at $325,000
• Forensic Psychiatrist – Starting at $350,000
