Responsibilities
•
The Quality and Safety Supervisor is responsible for overall quality and safety management at the facility including training, maintaining quality programs for existing and new products, ensuring implementation of quality standards and establishing and implementing safety protocols, as well as leading the quality and safety team
•
This position is responsible for complaint handling, regulation follow-up, certification conformity, and laboratory management
•
In charge of the quality assurance and quality control of products in the factory, including finished and semi-finished goods, raw material, and supplies
•
Creates, leads, and monitors quality improvement projects
•
Provides support for customer representatives regarding quality issues and takes the lead in providing feedback for customers and performing internal corrective actions for major complaints
•
Serves as a resource for problem identification, improvement, and resolution
•
Leads and represents the company in internal and external audits (British Retail Consortium (BRC), customer audits, etc.)
•
Supports production leadership in process validations, process control, process training programs, process improvement, and risk management
•
Implements inspection plans for new projects and updates current projects as necessary
•
Develops, implements, and controls processes in order to obtain and maintain Company certifications
•
Ensures Company complies with relevant regulations (OSHA, FDA, etc.)
•
Develops, implements, and maintains safety processes at the facility
•
Develops, administers, and records training relevant to quality, processes, and safety
•
Works with suppliers to resolve or improve quality issues and to implement effective corrective action
•
Develops and maintains quality standards
•
Manage the quality and safety inspector team and define and control their scope
•
Support and develop environmental initiatives relevant to the plant activity
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree or relevant experience required
•
2-5 years experience in quality management
•
Knowledge of ISO and BRC certification will be an advantage
•
Knowledge of safety regulations
•
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
•
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
•
Strong computer skills with an aptitude in Excel, Word, and other software
