Ace of the Bluegrass The program matches you with ACE professionals who volunteer their time and energy. They also help you design an actual project.

ACE of the Bluegrass mentorship program that provided opportunities for high schools to experience the architecture, construction, and engineering industry first hand. ACE is an after mentor program that gives you a hands-on introduction to architecture, construction management and engineering - careers you may consider if you're interested in designing and/or building. They show you where and how they work, skills they use and some of their projects under construction. ACE of the Bluegrass is integrated into the pre-engineering curriculum at Lafayette High School in Lexington, Kentucky.

As part of the ACE Mentor Program of the Bluegrass, our Lafayette High School students get the opportunity to learn & practice construction tasks under the supervision & guidance of trade professionals. This year our demonstrations included electrician basics, nail driving, brick laying, rebar tying, 3D survey scanning, and VR usage during construction. Thanks to our Participating Construction Partners for making this year such a success: AE Electrical Solutions, Clay Ingels & Mason Structure, Congleton-Hacker Co. , Gray, Qk4 - Engineering & Planning , Turner Construction Company & Walsh Group.
