Yesterday, 19 February, marked the anniversary of the battle of Iwo Jima (1945). The battle not only produced one of the most famous images of World War II, but was also a major turning point of the war in the Pacific Theater.
Perhaps no other organization values their history as much as the Corps. This weekend, remember those that paved the way for us like Ira Hayes and John Bassilone. And remember, the fight never stops!

Another late post, but I wanted to make sure that I gave Asher Oster his due! He has completed recruit training and Marine Combat Training, and is studying communication electronics on 29 Palms, CA. Oster graduated from Mid Carolina High School, Class of 2020.

I'm about a week late, but I want to give a huge shout out to ! He crushed recruit training, and is currently in Marine Combat Training before going on to his MOS school. PFC Nix joined the reserves so that he can go to college full time while being in the Marines! Well done brother, we are proud to have you in the family.
