After 400+ miles from Jackson, Tennessee (and a tire repair!!), John-Reed and Lauren made it to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, to visit Amber Olsen and her team at NEXTAFF of Gulf Coast!

First up was dinner with Amber, which ended with a cotton candy dessert that definitely deserves a spot in the road trip recap!!

The next day was all about spending time with Amber and the NEXTAFF of Gulf Coast team. They got a look at some of the creative marketing swag, leave-behinds, and client drop-offs the team is using around town, heard about new clients and opportunities, and got to see firsthand just how much energy this team has right now.

They also had the opportunity to hear firsthand about the momentum the office is building, including new client growth and new opportunities in the market.

But what stood out most was the energy behind it all. This is a team that is enthusiastic about where the business is headed and clearly having some fun while they build it.

Of course, no visit would be complete without a NEXTAFF BELIEVE hat handoff! Are you seeing a pattern here? The hats are fun, but the reason behind them is what this trip is really about: spending time with our teams across the country and making sure they know how much we believe in them, their businesses, and what they’re building in their communities.

Well, this wasn’t on the itinerary!

The look on John-Reed’s face says it all. 😆 Somewhere in southern Mississippi, just before the next stop on The Great American NEXTAFF Road Trip, John-Reed and Lauren discovered they had a nail in the tire.

Meanwhile, Lauren was already on a work call, and before long, both laptops were out while Goodyear handled the repair.

When you work in staffing, you get pretty good at dealing with the unexpected. Assess the situation, make the adjustment, and keep moving.

Tire patched. NEXTAFF of Gulf Coast, here we come!

Before the first official stop of The Great American NEXTAFF Road Trip, there was just enough time for a little Tennessee hospitality.

Lisa Meyers, owner of NEXTAFF of Jackson and NEXTAFF of Nashville, welcomed John-Reed McDonald and Lauren Macy to Nashville with dinner at Category 10, a chance to see some real Nashville line dancing, and a Tennessee Titans preseason game at Nissan Stadium. It was a fun way to begin the trip, but the next day brought them to the reason this road trip exists: time with our local NEXTAFF teams.

At NEXTAFF of Jackson, John-Reed and Lauren had the opportunity to spend time with Lisa and her team, hear what is happening in their market, and connect face to face with the people representing NEXTAFF in their community.

After the visit, Lisa shared:
“Thank you both for also taking the time to visit our office and spend time with my team. We thoroughly enjoyed having you there, and we appreciate all the support, encouragement, and guidance you give us throughout the year.”

That kind of time together is exactly what The Great American NEXTAFF Road Trip is about.

Today kicks off John-Reed and Lauren's Great American NEXTAFF Road Trip! They're trading the office for airports and the open road, headed out to spend real time with the teams and offices that make NEXTAFF what it is. First stop: Jackson, Tennessee.
